It all started when I discovered how much I loved the churn dash block. Every time I made one I thought about how just by changing the fabric placement I could create a different look and then put it on repeat and the options were endless – well kind of…

When Bertie Boy was born I started collecting blue and white fabrics so I could make him a quilt. When I was ready to make the quilt it was no surprise to me that I chose the churn dash block.

I quilted this one myself making big long diamonds using my walking foot on my Janome.

This quilt is bound with a navy and white stripe which was inspired by Rita of Red Pepper Quilts.

Bertie Boy loves this quilt. It was with him in his cot and transitioned with him to his big boy bed. It went to daycare and Kindy with him and now he uses it to snuggle on the couch on these cold winter mornings.

Thanks for stopping by today. Until next time.
