Zinnia Lumbar Cushions

Hello and welcome back friends.

Today I am sharing three lumbar cushions that I made recently. Scrolling around on Pinterest I noticed that extra long lumber cushions are becoming popular right now. I love the minimal look they provide.

I also recently bought Lori Holt’s book Farmgirl Vintage II and instantly fell in love with the Bright Zinnia Block. This is not an affiliate link I just love the book and thought I would share.

So I got to, did a fabric pull and made up 15 zinnia blocks in the 6″ size.

I moved them all around and decided that keeping the flowers with the same fabric together was the layout I liked best.

I then joined all the blocks together and quilted the cushion fronts using my favourite wavy stitch.

I used a navy and white stripe for the back of the cushion.

The navy one has found a permanent home on my bed but the navy rosebud and the pink are available in my shop.

If you like these cushions but would like me to make them for you in a different colour. Or you would like me to make something especially for you please contact me.

Until next time
