Bow Clutches – the Indigo Linen and the Wiltshire Bud
Hello and welcome friends.
I have been busy again over here trying out new projects.
This time I tried out the Bow Clutch using a tutorial from Elm Street Life which you can find here.
I have loved clutches for a long time. Until I had children and needed a nappy bag I would use a clutch or even just a pretty wallet to contain all my things.
Now that I am slowly moving towards no long needing to carry all the things all the time with my little ones I am finding myself going back to just taking a clutch or my wallet for quick trips into town.
I think this bow clutch turned out really nicely.
For the first one I used Essex Yarn Died in Indigo. The linen cotton blend gives a nice stability to the clutch, it feels sturdy.
For the second one I used a Liberty of London Tana Lawn for the bow. The print is called Wiltshire bud. The pink is a real dusky plum pink. This print is a real favourite of mine (although I say that about all the Liberty prints…).
For the lining on both pouches I used the same Liberty of London Tana Lawn.
This pattern even comes with a wristlet sewn in. I think this is going to be the most handy feature of the clutch. Being able to just slip my clutch onto my wrist where I can let it go and use both hands when needed is going to come in handy!
The bow on the front though – I love it so much. I really like accessories that have a little something special about them, that make a little statement.
These clutches have been added to my shop.
If you would like me to make one especially for you please contact me I would love to help you.
Until next time
